Message for Foundation Day 2024

We share warm greetings from Mercy International Association as we celebrate Foundation Day 2024.

December 12th marks the anniversary of the beginnings of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy. It was the date on which Catherine McAuley made her first profession in George's Hill Presentation Convent in Dublin as the first Sister of Mercy along with Mary Ann Doyle and Elizabeth Harley.

As Catherine herself said: "Hurrah for Foundations!"
