You are invited to journey through the Lenten season with Mercy International through spirituality, prayer, and reflection. There will be video and written Lenten reflections each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The theme of our prayer and reflection this Lent is 'Journey'.

The presenter for this reflection is Gaby Kinsman. Gaby is a Mercy Emerging Leader Fellow who lives in Adelaide, South Australia. She is currently working as the Coordinator of ‘Young Mercy Links SA’ a post-schooling formation initiative of ISMAPNG. She also works in Marketing and Communications for St Aloysius College, Adelaide. She has a Bachelor of Media and has an interest in the storytelling and communication of justice issues. Gaby is extremely passionate about the displacement of persons and in particular young refugees and asylum seekers who do not have access to higher education or work.  Her presentation challenges us to open our hearts this Lenten season.

Journey…..

Journey: an act of traveling from one place to the next. An expedition. A trek. A voyage. 

A journey is active. It is meant to challenge us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. 

Our journey through the season of Lent is one of peaks and valleys. We endeavor to learn more about ourselves and our spirituality during this time. 

Pope Francis challenges us during Lent reminding each of us “during this season of conversion, let us renew our faith, and receive with open hearts the love of God.” 

The love of God is all around us. In the people, both familiar and unfamiliar. In nature and living beings. In the miracle of a sunrise and sunset. 

Let us be called this Lent to actively seek the love of God. Let us be called to open our hearts.

La presentadora de esta reflexión es Gaby Kinsman. Gaby es una Mercy Emerging Leader Fellow que vive en Adelaida, Australia del Sur. Actualmente trabaja como coordinadora de "Young Mercy Links SA", una iniciativa de formación extraescolar de ISMAPNG. También trabaja en marketing y comunicación en el St Aloysius College de Adelaida. Es licenciada en Medios de Comunicación y le interesan la narración y la comunicación de temas relacionados con la justicia. Gaby es una gran apasionada del desplazamiento de personas y, en particular, de los jóvenes refugiados y solicitantes de asilo que no tienen acceso a la educación superior o al trabajo. Su presentación nos desafía a abrir nuestros corazones en este tiempo de Cuaresma.

Viaje: acto de desplazarse de un lugar a otro. Una expedición. Una caminata. Un viaje. 

Un viaje es activo. Está destinado a desafiarnos física, emocional y espiritualmente. 

Nuestro viaje a través del tiempo de Cuaresma es uno de picos y valles. Nos esforzamos por aprender más sobre nosotros mismos y nuestra espiritualidad durante este tiempo. 

El Papa Francisco nos desafía durante la Cuaresma recordándonos a cada uno de nosotros que "durante este tiempo de conversión, renovemos nuestra fe, y recibamos con el corazón abierto el amor de Dios." 

El amor de Dios está a nuestro alrededor. En las personas, tanto conocidas como desconocidas. En la naturaleza y los seres vivos. En el milagro de la salida y la puesta del sol. 

Estemos llamados en esta Cuaresma a buscar activamente el amor de Dios. Abramos nuestros corazones.
