Advent Through The Lens of Mercy
Advent begins on Sunday 1 December 2024. During the four weeks of Advent, we will be sharing a reflection series entitled 'Advent Through The Lens Of Mercy'.
The series is introduced by Sr. Patricia O'Donovan rsm, CEO of Mercy International Association. You can watch the introduction here.
The four reflections will be offered by:
Sr. Margaret Daly rsm, Head of Heritage and Spirituality, who will reflect on hope;
Ms Cecilie Kern, MGA's Global Policy and Research Advocate, who will reflect on peace;
Ms Noreen Kavanagh, Volunteer at Mercy International Centre, who will reflect on joy; and,
Ms Gaby Kinsman, Young Mercy Links and Member of the MIA Board, who will reflect on love.

Caring for School Children in Haiti
Caring for School Children in Haiti
Mercy Focus on Haiti, an initiative of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, has played a vital role in the growth of Lekòl Jezi-Mari school (now serving 645 children) by providing eggs three days a week, daily hot lunches, and tuition assistance. The school consists of 19 classrooms, educating students from preschool through 9th grade.

Statement on the planned refurbishment of Mercy International Centre
In anticipation of the 200th anniversary of the opening of the first House of Mercy by Catherine McAuley on 24th September 1827, Mercy International Association will be undertaking significant planned refurbishment at Mercy International Centre, 64a Lower Baggot Street, Dublin. We have taken the decision to temporarily close Mercy International Centre following our Summer 2025 Programme.

Sr. Margaret Daly rsm, Head of Heritage and Spirituality, and Carla Soden, Digital Preservation Archivist, spoke to our Head of Communications, Brenda Drumm about Mercy Heritage and the Preservica project that will go live on our website on Foundation Day 12 December.
They gave an overview of what visitors to the online archive can expect and share some of their favourite artefacts from our collection.
Carol Service at Mercy International Centre
We will be hosting our annual Carol Service at Mercy International Centre on Thursday 12 December - Foundation Day. This is always a wonderful evening of music and reflection and we are looking forward to opening the doors of our beautiful chapel.
While we will not be live streaming this event, we will make some excerpts available on our social media.
