Breaking Boundaries
New Interactive Resources for Breaking Boundaries Publication
Last year, Mercy Global Action published "Breaking Boundaries: A Mercy Response to People on the Move." It was the result of a year-long process that allowed the Mercy World to reflect on, learn from, and celebrate their involvement with people on the move.
To enhance your experience with the Breaking Boundaries publication, two new interactive resources are available. The first is an interactive breakdown of the publication that allows you to click through and read. The second is an Interactive Map which displays all the Mercy community organizations that responded to a survey which was used to create the publication. Although the map only includes those who responded to the survey, it is the most up-to-date representation of the communities involved in the Mercy World that provide assistance in migration. There is much to see….

On the Feast of the Visitation, 2023
We join Mary and Elizabeth in proclaiming the greatness of God , the becoming of all creation, the deepening consciousness that is being born on earth, the evolving awareness that God is with us and in us.
This inspiring reflection offered by by Alstonville Anglicans begins with the question:
What if the Incarnation could also be the fulfilment of human history and the final goal of evolution?

Learning about Our Mercy History
Recently all Year 9 students at Carmel College in Auckland, New Zealand, participated in two days focusing on the story of Mercy: the beginnings of Mercy in Ireland, the arrival of the Sisters of Mercy to New Zealand from Carlow, and the stories associated with the Carmel College site.
Sr Mary Neven (pictured with students) donned a habit to take on the persona of Mother Cecilia Maher, and joined a staff member who played the role of Bishop Pompallier as they shared with students the challenges of the long boat journey from Carlow, Ireland, to Auckland, New Zealand in 1850.

World Environment Day June 5th 2023
This year’s theme focuses on solutions to plastic pollution under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution. The world is being inundated by plastic. More than 400 million tonnes of plastic is produced every year, half of which is designed to be used only once. World Environment Day 2023 is a reminder that people’s actions on plastic pollution matters.
It is time to #BeatPlasticPollution
