Pat McDermott rsm (US)

Chairperson of the Board, Pat is President of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas leadership team. Pat has held many board positions in institutions that provide healthcare, education and housing She taught English, journalism and religious education at the secondary level for 10 years.

Peter Burnett (British)

Peter is a Private Client lawyer with wide experience in commercial and residential conveyancing, wills, probate and trusts. He has many years of specialist expertise and experience of advising on all aspects of charity law and the requirements of the Charity Commission. Peter has acted as solicitor to the Institute of Our Lady of Mercy since 1983.

Maura Hyland

Since the 1970s, Maura has been working in religious education in Ireland as a teacher, catechist and author of religious education texts for use at the national level. Most recently she has been employed as Director of Veritas Communications, an agency of the Irish Catholic Bishops Conference, and is Publisher of the National Catechetical Programmes of Ireland.

Margaret Casey rsm

Margaret Casey rsm is Congregational Leader of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy. She is from Co. Longford, Ireland and entered religious life in 1967. She originally trained as a secondary school teacher but later completed a Masters degree in Social Work, going on to work with children and families. Prior to taking up leadership of The Congregation, Margaret served as Provincial Leader in the Western Province of the Congregation, in local leadership in Galway and as Congregational Treasurer.

Denise Fox rsm (ANZ)

Denise Fox is a member of Nga Whaea Atawhai o Aotearoa Sisters of Mercy New Zealand. She has worked in education ministries at secondary and adult levels, and has recently completed a time in congregational leadership. She has been a member of boards of healthcare, finance, education, communication, and housing ministries.

James Peppiatt-Combes (US)

Jim is retired after 43 years of financial and administrative experience in health care and other business industries. He has worked in Mercy ministries, most recently as Executive Vice President and CFO, Trinity Health, Novi, Michigan.

Colette Cronin rsm (British)

Colette is a member of the Institute of Our Lady of Mercy (GB) and at present a member of her Congregational Leadership Team. After teaching secondary level for eleven years, Colette worked in adminstration for the
Congregation for a number of years including as General Bursar from 1998 - 2003.
